Learning, reflection & capability-building

notes.jpeg

For organisations and programmes that want to reflect on their practice, strengthening skills and approaches, and work more effectively together.

This strand of our work focuses on creating structured spaces for learning and dialogue. We support teams to think clearly about what they are trying to achieve, how they work together, and how they can improve practice in ways that are meaningful and realistic.

Our learning partner work is particularly suited to organisations navigating complexity, change or growth, and to those who want to embed reflective practice rather than rely solely on external expertise.

Our learning partner and capability-building work can include:

Facilitation of reflective workshops and team sessions

Training and skills development tailored to organisational needs

Theory of Change development and review

Support with learning frameworks and reflective processes

Acting as a critical friend to programmes, partnerships or teams

We prioritise dialogue, inclusion and shared ownership of learning. Our role is not to tell organisations what to think, but to help them think well.

Reflection and learning add value when they are intentional and well-supported. By creating time and space to reflect, organisations are better able to:

  • Make confident, informed decisions

  • Strengthen teamwork and shared understanding

  • Adapt approaches in response to evidence and experience

  • Build capability that lasts beyond individual projects

Our aim is to support learning that improves practice and strengthens impact over time. See evidence of our previous learning partner work here.

Evaluation & Applied Research

We design and deliver inclusive evaluation and research in areas with social value. Our work focuses on formative learning, robust qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, and translating evidence into clear, practical recommendations that can be implemented.
