Evaluation & applied research

philippines.jpeg

We design and deliver inclusive evaluation and research in areas with social value. Our work focuses on formative learning, robust qualitative and mixed methods approaches, and translating evidence into clear, practical recommendations that can be implemented. We focus particularly on formative approaches that support learning and improvement alongside accountability.

Our evaluation and research work can include:

Formative and theory-based evaluation

Qualitative and mixed-methods research design

Interviews, focus groups and inclusive data collection

Data analysis, synthesis and interpretation

Literature reviews and evidence summaries

Clear reporting and practical recommendations

Support to implement and use findings

We spend time with programmes and organisations to understand context, motivations and constraints, recognising that good evaluation depends on trust and understanding. This supports organisations and programme to:

  • demonstrate impact

  • meet funder requirements

  • justify decisions

  • build credible evidence

Our aim is to generate insights that can be used to strengthen projects, programmes and systems. See evidence of our previous evaluation and research work here.

Learning, Reflection & Capability

We support organisations to strengthen their thinking and practice through facilitation, workshops, training and learning partnerships. This includes Theory of Change development, reflective spaces for teams, and support to help people make confident, well-informed decisions.
